Auto Protected Keywords up & running

We’ve just rolled out a really cool new (optional) feature.

You can now automatically protect all Capitalized Words that appear in your article. Our software is intelligent enough to know that titles of your articles are usually already capitalized as it is, so it will still spin the titles – however, it will ignore other capitalized words that appear in your article because these words might be something you want to preserve.

This new option is available through Spin Rewriter’s web user interface, and it also works with the “I’m Feeling Lucky” option and the “Bulk Rewrite” option.

It’s been rolled out 20 minutes ago, so feel free to give it a whirl. 😀

Cool new features on the horizon!

We’re bringing 2 really cool new features to Spin Rewriter, and we’re bringing them within a week from now!

You’ll now be able to automatically protect all capitalized words (except for those in your article’s title) — you’ll just tick the required checkbox and everything will be taken care of.

Another useful new feature is this: Right now you save a spun article to your archive on Monday afternoon, and your archive says “Monday, 8 PM”. This happens because you live in California and our servers “live” on the East Coast. Well, with the upcoming update all dates and times will fit your local timezone.

Stay tuned! 😉

Full support for tablets on the horizon

With the market share of tablets growing steadily and reaching new heights every month, we’re thinking of pushing out a new tablet-specific user interface that will allow all iPad, ASUS eee Pad, Samsung Tab etc. users to make the most of our technology.

While Spin Rewriter already works fine on all tablets (all functionality is supported by mobile browsers) and we have quite a number of happy iPad users, this new interface might make things even easier for tablet users. Stay tuned! 😉

A new and easier way of handling your projects

We have re-thought Spin Rewriter’s Archive functionality.

You are now able to give each of your spun articles a specific (custom) name so you can easily find it later on.

You can also create custom categories and assign those categories to your articles.

What’s more, you can easily remove your spun articles from your Archive – by clicking the “checkmark” next to multiple articles, you’ll also be able to edit or delete multiple articles at the same time.

We hope you like the new archive-y stuff. 😉

New materials for our affiliates

We’ve updated a number of our materials, including:

  • promotional email samples (one-time mailing)
  • promotional email samples (a sequence of 3 emails)
  • new videos that show all Spin Rewriter 2.0 features
  • higher quality logos and other images

You’ll find most of this in Spin Rewriter’s Affiliate Program panel, and you can always send us an email to get access to everything we have. 😉

And remember – we can even set up a custom affiliate link just for you. 😀

Improved keyboard navigaton and Fast Mode

Spin Rewriter 2.0 that we’re releasing on Monday at 9 AM EST also brings two important improvements when it comes to the user interface.

We added the option to simply navigate between words and phrases by pressing the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard. Up to this point you had to navigate with the “Shift + a” and “Shift + s” keyboard shortcuts to move from one word to the next, and we’re certainly keeping this option for those of you who have grown to like it. However, the navigation with the “left” and “right” arrow keys is going to be even more intuitive. 😉

We also improved the Fast Mode that enables you to manually rewrite your article in just a couple of minutes – give it a try on Monday! 😀

Delete multiple articles with one click

Some of our users mentioned that they would love to have the option of deleting multiple spun articles from their Archive with a single click, instead of manually deleting articles one by one.

As always, we’ve listened – and with Spin Rewriter‘s next update you’ll be able to remove spun articles from your Archive in bulk. 😉

No more weird characters

Our users have been reporting that sometimes Spin Rewriter introduced extra characters into fractions (such as “1/2”, “1/4” etc.). This means that your finished spun article contained things like “1\/2”, “1\/4” and so on.

The same goes with “#LINK1#” being converted to “# LINK1 #” (with extra spaces) and “#keyword#” being converted to “# keyword #”. These special keywords are only used by a fraction of our users, but we want to get everything just right.

Bottom line, it’s all good now. 😀

Still working on Internet Explorer support

That’s right – we’re still working on Internet Explorer support.

The reason for this is that through something called “Accelerators” the latest versions of Internet Explorer desperately try to show their own context menus when a piece of text is selected. On the other hand, Spin Rewriter wants to show you the context menu with all available synonyms when you select a piece of text. And when these two types of context menus collide, it’s not a pretty sight. But we’re working on a solution. 😉

Hang in there, IE lovers! 😀
