No such thing as a Sunday … :)

There’s no such thing as a Sunday when you’re running a start-up … especially a start-up that has just EXPLODED and you’re getting a metric ton of feedback every day about what your users love / think could be improved / think could be added.

You probably noticed Friday’s post that was filled with updates and general goodies for our wonderful users. Well, we’re not stopping there. 😀

Here’s what was added during the weekend:

  • keyboard navigation (YES, it’s true – you can highlight the previous word with the Shift+A combination, and the next word with the Shift+S combination)
  • the keyword that you’re currently working on is now highlighted by being green instead of red
  • you are now able to export your finished (spun) article into a text file with spinning syntax (spintax) in place
  • you can now create categories and then sort your finished articles by these categories
  • a bunch of other minor issues were fixed

Thanks again for using Spin Rewriter, everybody,
we’ll make sure it only gets better and better! 😀

A bunch of updates

The launch frenzy still hasn’t settled down, however I was able to find a couple of hours in between writing a ton of emails to introduce some great updates to Spin Rewriter.

Yes, that’s correct – Spin Rewriter is already getting better not only by learning from its users about the quality of various synonyms and meanings, but we’re also actively improving user experience and adding new cool features.

Here’s what was updated in the last 24 hours alone:

  • we fine-tuned the uniqueness meter that tells you how unique your generated articles will be
  • we added support to ignore whole phrases (multiple words) when doing a One Click Rewrite
  • we have changed the 800-word limit to a much higher one that you shouldn’t hit when rewriting your articles
  • you are now able to delete finished articles from your archive
  • you can export up to 400 unique version of your article in 400 text files, OR in a single text file
  • Spin Rewriter now automatically fixes most common misspellings (dont, doesnt, hasnt, havent, wierd, definately, etc.)
  • we fixed and improved a bunch of other stuff

Hope you guys like it! 😀

We’re almost there (4 hours left!)

OKAY, we’re almost there … our big Spin Rewriter Launch is scheduled for

today at noon EST (New York time).

This also means you’ll be able to grab your subscription at 9 AM PST (Los Angeles time), 5 PM GMT (London), and a bit after midnight in Japan and Australia. 😉

We’ve got a special … and I mean SPECIAL discount prepared for you guys!

Super excited, talk to you later,

Aaron 😀

Save & Resume Projects

That’s right. We’ve received quite a bit of feedback about users wanting to save their projects for later, so they can continue their work some other time.

Well, we just added what you all requested. Now you can save your projects and you can get back to them when you have the time. 😀

Enjoy! 😀

Use any spintax format you want!

Spin Rewriter just received another update, 2 days before the big launch! 😀

Once you’re done with your article, you now have the ability to export your spun article in any spintax format you could possible want. You can go either with the default { first option | second option } or { first option ~ second option } or [ first option | second option ] or even [spin] first option | second option [/spin]. This way you’ll be able to make the most of your articles no matter what. 😀

Are you as excited as we are?! 😀

Sentence level spinning now available

Things are getting super exciting before Wednesday’s BIG Spin Rewriter LAUNCH! 😀

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, we’ve been receiving a ton of feedback about the missing ability to do spinning on the sentence and paragraph level. I already addressed this “issue “back then – the thing is that we wanted our Beta Testers (we love you, guys!) to focus 100% on the amazing ground-breaking single word and phrase spinning abilities of Spin Rewriter. This is where Spin Rewriter really blows everything else out of the water and we wanted to improve this aspect as much as humanly possible.

Well, since there’s only a couple of days left till the launch, we just added the sentence and paragraph level spinning to Spin Rewriter. It’s super straightforward – in the first step, after you place your article in the correct text field, you can spin it by highlighting various sentences and paragraphs. Once you’re done, you move on to single word and phrase level spinning.

Enjoy! 😉

No more “Whoops, where did it go?!”

I wrote about a functionality that was requested by a couple of our Beta Testers about a week ago – our users demanded something that would prevent them from losing all their hard work if they accidentally pressed the “back” button or somehow left Spin Rewriter’s Edit Mode without saving their progress.

We just improved Spin Rewriter’s user interface and added what was requested – from now on you can no longer accidentally lose your progress. Whether you click the “previous page” / “next page” button, refresh the page, click on a link or close your browser while you’re in Edit Mode, you will be asked to confirm if you really want to do that. This way you can feel safe and happily click on everything you want, and you’ll never lose your hard work.

Try it out! 😀

We’re getting a ton of suggestions – a big Thank You!

I just wanted to once again publicly thank all of our Beta Testers who are doing incredible work in helping us make a superb product!

We’re constantly getting great feedback and based on this feedback we’ll be soon be adding great little tweaks such as:

– While users are in the Edit Mode (actively working on their articles), they will be warned if they click the “previous page” or “next page” button in their web browser or they want to leave the page without saving their progress. What does this mean? It means that our users will never lose their hard work and all the rewriting progress they’ve done with their articles by accidentally pressing the “backspace” key on their keyboards which takes you to the previous page.

– Users will soon be able to select phrases that span over punctuation marks, e.g. they will be able to select the phrase “the red, white and blue” that they currently cannot and replace it with “the American flag”.

– Users will be able to simply click on the underscore (underline) of already suggested phrases to select them, instead of manually selecting them by dragging their mouse over them.

As you can see, we’re working pretty hard, so – stay tuned! 😀

Improved spintax fixing

We’ve just further improved our Syntax Fixer or Spintax Fixer, whatever you prefer.

As you probably already know, in the final step of the process Spin Rewriter changes “A {man|guy} ate an {apple|banana}.” to “{A man|A guy} ate {an apple|a banana}” to make sure that all indefinite articles are correct.

You see, the original syntax could have produced “A man ate an banana.” which is clearly wrong – the new syntax properly produces the sentence “A man ate a banana.”

With the latest update we taught our Syntax Fixer to differentiate between the ' character when it’s used as an apostrophe as opposed to when it’s used as a quotation mark. We believe it’s pretty much perfect now, hooray! 😀

Spin Rewriter is even faster now

With yesterday’s update we managed to cut down the post-processing time (when our software is actually learning from the changes you applied to your article so it can get even better in time) a whopping 82-84%!

This means that the user experience is even smoother now, and once you click the “Continue to the Final Step” you don’t have to wait for more than a couple of seconds. If you have a good internet connection, it actually takes less than 1 second to take you to the final step. 😀

Stay tuned, we’re working hard!
