Full support for tablets on the horizon

With the market share of tablets growing steadily and reaching new heights every month, we’re thinking of pushing out a new tablet-specific user interface that will allow all iPad, ASUS eee Pad, Samsung Tab etc. users to make the most of our technology.

While Spin Rewriter already works fine on all tablets (all functionality is supported by mobile browsers) and we have quite a number of happy iPad users, this new interface might make things even easier for tablet users. Stay tuned! 😉

Spin Rewriter now recognizes even the weirdest encodings

You might have noticed I picked the “Programming” category for this blog post. The reason for this is quite simple – this post won’t be very interesting to 95% of you who aren’t programmers. 😉

You see, out of thousands of active users, we have received about 2-3 customer tickets each month saying that Spin Rewriter somehow garbled up the original text. We’ve been looking into this for a while now, and we found out that:

  • 99.5% of all submitted texts are processed normally
  • texts that begin with the bytecode EF BB BF are encoded in the standard UTF-8 format (works well with Spin Rewriter)
  • texts that begin with the bytecode FE FF are encoded in the UTF-16/UCS-2, little endian format (some issues)
  • texts that begin with the bytecode FF FE are encoded in the UTF-16/UCS-2, little endian format (some issues)
  • texts that begin with the bytecode FF FE 00 00 are encoded in the UTF-16/UCS-2, little endian format (sporadic issues)
  • texts that begin with the bytecode 00 00 FE FF are encoded in the UTF-16/UCS-2, little endian format (sporadic issues)

For instance, if our user entered “It іs nevеr a сonvenіent timе tо hаvе уour vеhicle quіt оn уоu.” in the UTF-16/UCS-2, little endian format, Step 2 of the spinning process appeared fine, however Step 3 showed this: “It Ñs nevеr a ÑonvenÑent timе tо hаvе Ñour vеhicle quÑt оn Ñоu.”

We have now resolved all these issues and Spin Rewriter will process all articles that you can throw at it. 😉

A new and easier way of handling your projects

We have re-thought Spin Rewriter’s Archive functionality.

You are now able to give each of your spun articles a specific (custom) name so you can easily find it later on.

You can also create custom categories and assign those categories to your articles.

What’s more, you can easily remove your spun articles from your Archive – by clicking the “checkmark” next to multiple articles, you’ll also be able to edit or delete multiple articles at the same time.

We hope you like the new archive-y stuff. 😉

New materials for our affiliates

We’ve updated a number of our materials, including:

  • promotional email samples (one-time mailing)
  • promotional email samples (a sequence of 3 emails)
  • new videos that show all Spin Rewriter 2.0 features
  • higher quality logos and other images

You’ll find most of this in Spin Rewriter’s Affiliate Program panel, and you can always send us an email to get access to everything we have. 😉

And remember – we can even set up a custom affiliate link just for you. 😀

Improved keyboard navigaton and Fast Mode

Spin Rewriter 2.0 that we’re releasing on Monday at 9 AM EST also brings two important improvements when it comes to the user interface.

We added the option to simply navigate between words and phrases by pressing the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard. Up to this point you had to navigate with the “Shift + a” and “Shift + s” keyboard shortcuts to move from one word to the next, and we’re certainly keeping this option for those of you who have grown to like it. However, the navigation with the “left” and “right” arrow keys is going to be even more intuitive. 😉

We also improved the Fast Mode that enables you to manually rewrite your article in just a couple of minutes – give it a try on Monday! 😀

We’re releasing Spin Rewriter 2.0 on the 11th!!!

It’s been a while since we first released Spin Rewriter, and we’ve been working really hard all this time.

This means we’ve got a ton of updates, and not only updates – entirely new amazing features that we want to give to you!

With this in mind, we’re releasing an entirely new version of Spin Rewriter, with a very creative name: Spin Rewriter 2.0 😀

This will go down on Monday, June 11th, at 9 AM EST (New York time). We’re CRAZY EXCITED! 😀

P.S. All existing users get their upgrade to the 2.0 version … for free. 😉

Bulk Rewrites now even more powerful

As you probably know, Spin Rewriter allows you to rewrite multiple articles with a single click.

With the upcomin update, Spin Rewriter is going to be even more powerful when it comes to this:

  • you’ll still be able to manually enter multiple articles
  • you’ll be able to upload a number of text files that contain your articles
  • you’ll be able to upload ZIP files of entire directories that contain your articles

All of this is going to take  bulk-spinning to the next level! 😉

Weights of all synonyms have been recalibrated

Spin Rewriter comes with 3 settings when you’re running the One-Click Rewrite process – it can either suggest as many synonyms as possible, it can suggest only those synonyms that it’s quite confident about, or it can take no risks and suggest just a small number of most reliable synonyms to make sure all spun articles are 100% readable.

Well, we have just recalibrated all “weights” that Spin Rewriter uses to make these informed decisions – and it’s only going to be better at its job from now on! 😀

Definitions of new meanings were added

As you probably know, Spin Rewriter is constantly learning new useful things from its users. Sometimes it learns about new useful synonyms for existing words in its database – and sometimes it learns about new meanings that it hasn’t even known before. For instance, when iPhone came out, it had to learn that it even existed – it had to add the word “iPhone” to its database.

Well, we’ve just manually added descriptions of all these new meanings – this will make the spinning process even easier for you, our users.

Have fun with it! 😉
