Even more API goodness! (Python)

Today I’ve got even more good news for all developers out there who are interested in integrating Spin Rewriter into their own software products!

As you probably know (that is, if you’re a developer), we’ve already gone a number of extra miles to make sure Spin Rewriter is super easy to integrate with other apps through our API.

Our API SDK library, written in PHP, is a work of coding art… and let’s not forget the famous integration of Spin Rewriter’s functionality with 3rd party applications in as little as 3 lines of code (literally!)… The response from the developers has been 100% positive since we rolled out the first version of our API, and we’re looking to keep it this way! 😉

Still, so far all our code samples and the API SDK library were only available in PHP… but today, this changes as well!

The library itself is hosted on pypi.python.org — feel free to check it out right away! 🙂

We’ve just made things even easier for all developers out there who wish to integrate Spin Rewriter’s incredible power of ENL Semantic Spinning into their applications.

We’ve updated our (almost famous) working code samples, along with the brand-new Spin Rewriter API SDK (PHP Library & Examples), version 4.1.0.

With all this code ready to go, you can now integrate Spin Rewriter’s article spinning technology into your own software products with — literally! — 3 lines of code!

We OPTIMIZED our servers in a big way

Spin Rewriter has been incredibly popular among Internet Marketers as of late — even more so than it usually is!

This means we’ve been signing on new users like crazy, and our existing grid of powerful servers started to take a significant hit with all the spinning requests coming in all of the time… At the moment our servers need to process more than one spinning request per second, or over 85,000 spinning requests every single day.

That’s 85,000 new articles every day… that need to be processed on a word and phrase basis, to determine the exact meaning of every word and phrase among a multitude of different options… and then all those meanings need to have synonyms assigned based on the context of the article… and this is maybe 20% of what’s actually going on in the background before we can reliably deliver top-quality spun articles to our users.

As you can imagine, even a grid of powerful servers will start to lose the battle when faced with such a huge workload… unless these servers and the software they are running is optimized to the fullest!

Our entire tech team has been working crazy hard for more than 2 weeks now, fine-tuning all of our servers and all of our back-end code… and it makes me extremely happy to say we were able to bring down our average server load a whopping 46% percent while we reduced the average size of Spin Rewriter’s database a further 27%.

Our servers are now happily serving all the incoming spinning requests without as much as breaking a sweat. Hooray! 😀

Better CopyScape integration…

We haven’t announced this little upgrade to Spin Rewriter 4.0 yet, but it’s also on the list of the upcoming upgrades:

From now on, you’ll have the option for our server to remember a securely encrypted variation of your CopyScape username and API key — this means you’ll no longer have to enter these credentials whenever you want to check your articles against CopyScape… and this is just one of the many improvements to the user interface that are coming out on October 18th… 😉
